New group class information and policy

Welcome to a new semester of group class! Here is some info for the Jan 26 class, and for groups in general.

5:15 Group A = book 1 & 2, ages 5 - 9
6:15 Group C = books 3 & 4
7:15 Group B = books 1 & 2, ages 10 - 15

8:15 Group D = books 5 and +
*January's group class will be focused on preparing for Graduation. It will be a good time to review even if you are not participating in Graduation.
* I know that many people have dance or other activities on Thursdays. If your child can't make it to their own hour of group, feel free to come to another one. If your child attends a group more advanced than the one they would normally be in, I will do some accommodating to make sure they get some playing time, and then they will get the fantastic experience of watching and listening and seeing what is down the road in their cello journey. If your child attends a group that is less advanced than the one they would normally be in, they will be leaders and examples for some of the time, and get some great review of fundamentals for the rest. It's better to come to some group than none at all.
*We will always end group with performances from whomever wants to. These are superextremelysoverycompletely casual, so that everyone is comfortable, it is always a celebration, and kids just get used to playing for each other and for people in general.
*We will continue our exploration, especially in the older groups, of theory (heavily camouflaged as improvisation).
