Summer Lesson Structure

Greetings folks! Summer planning season is here. Here are the notes about how I will structure summer lessons. It will be pretty much like last year.

* Tuition rates stay the same through the summer as through the school year.

* New make up policy just for summer - yes, I will make up lessons, but only with a 24 hour notice.

* You still get an average of 3 lessons and 1 group per month ( 3 lessons x 4 months = 12)

* You may sign up for 12 lessons from the beginning of May through the end of August.

* If you end up with more than 12 lessons they will be additional charges.  This is fine with me.


* I will send an email to you all of phone numbers so you can make switches as needed.

*I will email you the username and password to the google calendar so you can enter your own trades for weeks that you have travel or camp conflicts. Some people have already been doing this successfully. Yay!

* I will assume all lessons are on for the month of May. ( I am leaving to the Suzuki Association of the America's convention on Thursday 5/24, so there won't be lessons on 5/24 or 5/25)

Your Job:

1.  Go on the Google Calendar.

2. Go to the week of June 4 and see if your summer lesson time is there and correct.

3. Figure out if the rest of the summer dates of lessons are correct and work for you.  If there is a week that you are not having a lesson, but your name is on the calendar, double click on your student's name, and change the name to FREE, so someone else can have that spot.  

4.  Add up all of your lessons for the summer and see if there are 12 from April 30 - Labor Day.  If there are not, you may enter your student's name anywhere that says "FREE" on the calendar.  

If you want/need an overview of how the summer term works, here it is:

* Orange means school year lesson time (even if it is during Summer semester). During the first five weeks of Summer Term lessons, April 30 through June 2, your lesson time will be the same time as during the school year. This will also be the case for the week of August 27 - September 1. Lessons will be during your fall lesson time, but count in the summer term. Fall term starts after Labor Day.

* Green means summer lesson time. We can talk in the lesson to figure out your summer lesson time, or you can look up on the google calendar the week of June 4 and see which days I am teaching where and email me your preference.

* Blue means make up days. If you can't make 12 lessons from the orange and green weeks, sign up for a blue week. We will try to make your lesson time during a blue week close to your summer lesson time so it is easier to remember, but I can't promise that it will be the same.

Orange dates are school schedule lesson times

Blue dates are extra in case you can't make 12 lessons off of the orange and green times. Lessons are offered, on a first come first served basis. Different times than Orange school days and green summer days.Week of April 30: __________
