Group class on Thursday the 17th was great! Electrifying even! We had a great turn out and among other things, played Twinkle with different parts for everyone so that from pre-twinklers to book 10 kids all had a part they could play and were challenged by. The book 3+ crowd started with French Folk Song IN EVERY KEY and at the end read a fascinating tango. A good time was had by all.
The electric cello part comes in with a deal we settled on, that will be continued for the next group class. We decided that we need a no noodling policy. No strumming. plucking, practicing, tapping, playing while I am talking, and while group class is running. Those who do will owe the group a quarter. The quarters will go in a jar to save for an electric cello for the studio. The cello will come to every group class, and we will take turns exploring it. Of course, hopefully there will be no more noodling, so in order to still work as a group towards the cello I will donate a quarter when I catch the whole group with beautiful postures and bow holds.
So, make sure to come to group class next time, and bring a few quarters just in case!
