Yes, I know it is not yet Halloween, but it is time to start preparing for the Christmas season. I have been handing out music this week and am now ready to give you all dates as well:November 19: Thursday. Group Class at LDS ward house above zoo. We will have the same time schedule as usual 5:30 - 6:15 everyone, 6:15 - 7:30 books 3 and up. Our whole focus will be on the Christmas music, though. Bring your books, stands, and quarters in case you get a chance to donate to our electric cello fund! (see previous post)
November 21: Saturday. We have a chance to perform at a Holiday Craft Boutique in Holladay. Times, address and music TBA. It is not a large space, so we will probably have to play in a few smaller shifts, and only the pieces that are polished by Nov 19.
December 3: Thursday. Same as November 19.
December 5: Saturday. Another group rehearsal at the LDS ward house above the zoo. In the morning. 10:00 - 12:00
Decmber 12: CONCERT. Gardner Hall Music Building on U of U campus, room 270 (furthest northwest corner of the building, behind Libby Gardner Hall) "Sun Up" group be there at 12:00, everyone else at 12:30, concert starts at 1:00. Wear white tops, black pants/skirts, bring small chair if you need one, stand and a ROCK STOP. $2 per person or $7 per family donation appreciated to cover cost of books and room. Be sure to invite friends and family for this great event. We had a full house last year, and would love to do the same again. Great concert of fun and beautiful pieces!
